Hi, my name is Misha Nivota. I live in Seattle, Washington and was born in 2005. I love hanging out with my friends and family, playing ultimate, dogs, writing poems and practicing Kuchipudi dance (a traditional South Indian dance form).
At school, I love STEM subjects with particular interest in how technology and neuroscience come together to help people with disabilities. I conduct independent research in STEM fields and instruct and mentor young scientists.
Poetry and dance are my outlets of expressing myself to the world. I am an author with a book of my poems published on Amazon. And, I am a dance instructor at the school where I learn Kuchipudi.
I love to share my passions – science, poetry & dance with all of you!
I studied Kuchipudi dance since I was 5 years old. Over the years, I developed a strong passion for this ancient art form from my homeland of South India. I performed on many occasions and will culminate in a Ranga Pravesam this year. For the last few years, I also am teaching junior Kuchipudi classes at the dance school that I learn from Click here to view some of my dance performances.
I started writing poetry from when I was very young and with my parents’ encouragement, my poetry blog was born. I recently published my poems as a book titled Life Through Poems on Amazon, with all proceeds going to help Women in STEM charities. I really hope you enjoy my poems. All feedback is welcome, I’m always trying to improve.
